On Saturday August 11th, members of the CSDS Competition Team danced at a family carnival fundraiser for the Schwartz Center. Hip hop instructor Nathan Setera, who works at Schwartz, organized the talent for the carnival along with Jaime Green. They are pictured with the kids at the event. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Dancin' with So You Think You Can Dance contestants

Today was an exciting day at the studio! While auditioning for SYTYCD, Nathan met some great dancers and put together a workshop highlighting their unique styles. Thanks to Cody, Liz, and Nathan for the great classes in contemporary, hip hop, and tap. (You might remember Liz from the Las Vegas episode!) It was great to see old and current CSDS students and dancers from other local studios take part in this opportunity together. The Standard Times was also on hand to get some pictures. It was a great experience and thanks again to the amazing dancers for sharing their talents with us!

Dynamite National Finals

CONGRATULATIONS to the CSDS Comp Team. In Philadelphia the team earned 2 Platinums, 2 High Golds, and 13 Golds at Dynamite. Mambo Italiano, Bugle Boy, and Apologize had the opportunity to film 30 seconds of their routines to be used for Dynamite advertising and The Stepp Stewart Show. The top 5 routines from each age division in the small and large groups were selected to be in the showcase on the final day of competition. Congratulations to Bandstand Boogie, 1st Place Junior Small Group and winner of $500, Can Can, 4th Place Junior Small Group, and Escapade, 5th Place Teen Small Group. Thanks to all dancers, Miss D and Mr. N for your wonderful work this season!
